22 MORE Favorite Quotes to Celebrate 2 Years at Look Up Sometimes!

Happy Easter & 22 MORE Favorite Quotes to Celebrate 2 Years at Look Up Sometimes by Pearl Allard

Easter is a Year-Round Celebration

Hello sweet friend. If you ever visit my home, there are three simple stick crosses gracing our mantel. You’ll see them purposely mixed with every holiday and seasonal décor throughout the year, because they are my reminder that life centers around what Jesus accomplished for me and what Jesus will accomplish through me as I take up my own cross. Which means Easter is really a year round celebration. (So I’m setting aside the guilt that I didn’t get this sent out to you earlier!)

Because the tomb is empty, our hearts can be full of God's love. Click To Tweet

  1. Hope you had a blessed Easter.

Couldn’t choose just one, but here are my favorite quotes of yours, Pearl.

Our worth is stable, because God is.

Our sin is never excusable, but praise to God – it is always forgivable!

When we think the plan is all washed up, it may be we’ve just arrived on the shores of God’s great plan for us.

It’s ok to be empty. From Sarah’s empty womb to Jesus’ empty tomb, God’s master plan progresses exactly on schedule.

You are such a gift, Pearl! I thank God for you.

And Melissa needs to make a blog post out of her comment. Or maybe you should write one together.

So many examples of God’s faithfulness to His promises. He is faithful to provide and to His Word. When we are empty there’s plenty of room for Jesus to fill and fulfill us.

    1. Rachael, you are such a gift, too! That thankful street runs two ways. We spent an enjoyable out-of-the-routine Easter hiking. How was yours?

Thanks for sharing your favorites! The empty quote is one of my very favorites, too. Love how you said “when we’re empty there’s plenty of room for Jesus to fill and fulfill us.” Yes!

  2. Encouraging words, Pearl! Hard to choose a favorite quotation but I especially like this one:

It’s ok to be empty. From Sarah’s empty womb to Jesus’ empty tomb, God’s master plan progresses exactly on schedule.

It reminds me of other “empty” stories in the Bible:

God helped Gideon and his army use “empty” jars as weapons in defeating the Midianites. (Judges 8)

Naomi returned to her homeland “empty” after losing her husband and two sons, but her life was later filled through the courageous life of her daughter-in-law. (Ruth 1)

Elisha miraculously used a tiny bit of oil to fill numerous “empty” pots in order to save a widow’s sons from being sold into slavery. (2 Kings 4)

Jesus filled the empty nets of fishermen, the empty stomachs of crowds-people, and empty wine jars for wedding guests.

With God, sometimes “empty” is a good starting point!

    Thank you, Pearl!!

    1. Debbie! That was so encouraging to hear other “empty” examples! Thank you!! And that was my favorite quote, too.💛 It came from the story of the empty wine jars at the wedding.

  3. Happy Easter, Pearl!

    I like these two quotes:

“When we think the plan is all washed up, it may be we’ve just arrived on the shores of God’s great plan for us.”
“It’s ok to be empty. From Sarah’s empty womb to Jesus’ empty tomb, God’s master plan progresses exactly on schedule.”

  4. My favorite quote – When we embrace how God uniquely designed us, we honor our Maker and act in our own best interests. Thank you for sharing!
